40+ years of experience
GSE has 40+ years of experience and more than 1,100 simulation and training installations in 50 countries. In 1971, GSE Systems, then Link Simulation, built the first commercial full-scope nuclear power plant simulator and, in 1977, was a pioneer provider of high-fidelity refinery plant simulators and high-fidelity fossil power plant simulators. Since then, GSE has built more full-scope simulators than all of our competitors combined. Combining our simulation background with next-generation training technologies and engineering services, GSE is now a total solutions provider for the energy industry.
DP Engineering Ltd. Co. Joins GSE in 2019
DP Engineering Ltd. Co., a specialized provider of high-value engineering services and solutions to the nuclear power industry, was acquired in February of 2019. Founded in in 1995 in Fort Worth, Texas, DP specializes in mechanical design; civil/structural design; electrical, instrumentation and controls design; digital controls/cyber security; and fire protection. With this acquisition, GSE adds an outstanding team of nuclear-focused professionals delivering an array of complementary high-value-added engineering capabilities.
True North Consulting, LLC joins GSE in 2018
True North Consulting LLC, a respected provider of specialty engineering solutions to the power industry, was acquired in May of 2018. Founded in 1999 in Montrose, Colorado, True North specializes in in-service testing for engineering programs focused on ASME OM code including Appendix J, balance of plant programs, thermal performance, in-service inspection for specialty engineering including ASME Section XI, and software solutions. The acquisition broadens GSE’s engineering services offering and adds a highly specialized talent pool to our employee base.
Absolute Consulting, Inc. joins GSE in 2017
In September 2017, GSE acquired Absolute Consulting, Inc. Formed in 1997, Absolute Consulting is the premier provider of value-added consulting and staffing services to the energy sector. Headquartered in Navarre, Florida, the approximately 150 employees specialize in procedures, engineering, technical support, project management, training, project controls, corrective actions, QA/DC, documents and records, and licensing. The acquisition expands GSE’s services to our power generation customers and strengthens GSE’s global leadership in nuclear training and consulting solutions.
