Based on requests from many customers, GSE TrueNorth will be conducting a training course in Montrose, CO on Mandatory Appendix III Implementation, with emphasis on Motor Operated Valve testing requirements and programmatic interfaces. This training will also include content devoted to understanding the impact of currently proposed 10CFR50.55 rulemaking by the NRC. If your plant is scheduled for the next IST Program interval update in early 2017 or later this course is a valuable tool in preparing for that effort. There are some implementation actions for App. III that you can and should be starting now.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS
Ed brings over 30 years’ experience in the commercial Nuclear Industry that consists of utility program management in the areas of Motor Operated Valves and Inservice Testing. Ed has extensive experience in engineering program development, management and implementation. While in the positions of Fermi MOV Program Manager and chairman of the MOV Users Group (MUG), Ed led industry efforts in the areas of PM optimization, MCC-based diagnostics and trending innovations. He has since been a key player in industry IST activities, most recently serving as chairman of the IST Owners Group (ISTOG). Prior to joining Fermi, Ed served in the US Navy aboard submarines for over 13 years with a final rank of Chief Petty Officer.
Ronald C. Lippy
Mr. Lippy’s background encompasses significant expertise with thirty plus years in ISI/IST Coordination and diverse technical experience in nuclear power plants. Ron’s focus on strengthening and standardization of Engineering Program positions has advanced nuclear power throughout the entire industry. He currently serves on the ASME/OM Main Committee as Chairman and numerous sub- committees, as well as previous Chairman of the New Reactors OM Code Subgroup. Additionally, Ron is integrally involved in the Inservice Testing Owners Group (ISTOG) and has performed Inservice Testing related assessments and training for the majority of US Nuclear Utilities.
